The Holliston Boys and Girls finished 5th (30 points) and 4th (40 points) respectively in the team competition at the TVL Conference Meet. A pretty successful competition despite some illness and injury. Highlights from the meet were plentiful on the girls side:
Emmaline Berg won the shot put, (does three years in row make it a habit?) shattering the meet record by a full foot throwing 42' 6". This effort also improved the All - Time conference record and Emmaline's own school record. a truly wonderful performance by an outstanding athlete.
Sophomore Vickie Palamatier took 4th in the shot as well.
Captain Rosie Keogh won the 2 mile in 11:27.87 for the second year in the a row just over the record she set last year while almost lapping the entire field, and winning by almost 30 seconds. Rosie also came back for a second place finish in the mile run in 5:26.69.
Sophomore Amanda Lang placed 6th in the 2 mile with an excellent 12:14.3 time. Amanda also ran the mile in 5:55.05 to complete a very well done double.
Marissa Bynoe in her first track season back after knee surgery finished 4th in 9.26 a personal best.
Captain Carina Doyle finished 6th in the 1,000m in a personal best 3:21.32.
The 4 X400m relay team of Kerry Ritucci, Sam Panepinto, Karly Slyne and Ali Slyne ran an impressive 3:21.32 for 6th place.
Outside the scoring positions we had some outstanding personal records that should be noted:
Jill Rosati ran under the 6 minute milestone for the first time at 5:50.36.
Claire Lingham and Alli Tau both moved under the 3:40 mark in the 1,000m at 3:33.4 and 3:37.3 respectively.
On the boys side:
Captain Patrick Delaney took the only championship with his win in the shot put at 44' 11". Patrick place 3rd last year making him the most successful shot putter at Holliston in at least the last 10 years.
James Ferdenzi placed 2nd in the dash in 6.90 qualifying him for the state meet. This is the first year James ran the dash.

Other performances of note:
